Tentwood Events is a modular, traveling barn venue space that can be moved and used for various events in various places. Tentwood has been featured everywhere from the Wall Street Journal, to the Knot, to Seattle’s local hobby channel, Evening Magazine. They are currently in a seasonal partnership with Woodland Park Zoo.
This was a carte blanche project. As a venue space, Tentwood is the first of it’s kind in the world. While the owner knew that she wanted to fit within the “rustic, wedding and event” space, it was the wild west, otherwise. This project was and is very open-ended and has been an exciting project because of its amorphous nature.
The largest challenges presented were 2: The first was the size. As a solo freelancer and sole designer on this project, I was to build brochures and handouts, logo and identity system, website, tradeshow graphics and more. The second challenge was building the brand alongside the owner. Her vision of the business was clear, but challenging in some ways to translate to paper or website.
Since this is an ongoing project, my role changes with the seasons. But I have been the sole designer working on this project. All digital and physical assets produced for Tentwood have been provided by me. Except the barn.
